室內設計（英語：Interior design），是一種以居住在該空間的人為對象所從事的設計形式。需要工程技術上的知識，也需要藝術上的理論和技能，泛指對室內建立的任何相關物件，包括：牆、窗戶、窗簾、門、表面處理、材質、燈光、空調、水電、環境控制系統、視聽設備、家具與裝飾品的規畫。

室內設計是增強建築物內部的藝術和科學，以便為使用該空間的人們創造更健康，更美觀的環境。室內設計是從建築設計中的裝飾部分演變出來的。他是對建築物內部環境的再創造。室內設計可以分為公共空間和居家兩大類別。當我們提到室內設計時，會提到的還有動線、空間、色彩、照明、功能等等相關的重要術語。

室內設計是指為滿足一定的建造目的（包括人們對它的使用功能的要求、對它的視覺感受的要求）而進行的準備工作，對現有的建築物內部空間進行深加工的增值準備工作。目的是為了讓具體的物質材料在技術、經濟等方面，在可行性的有限條件下形成能夠成為合格產品的準備工作。
